By Grant Tait, Author, former Finance Director

Grant is a qualified chartered accountant with an MBA from INSEAD in France. His career included more than 25 years managing teams in Europe in multinational corporations whose headquarters were in USA, Italy, Switzerland and Japan and before that, he was an accountant in various professional firms in the UK and Europe. He has also been involved in three start-ups, and worked as a consultant and transition manager.

Grant also writes on Medium and LinkedIn. He has written a book about managers who never make decisions called ‘How to become a no-decision manager’ and has a blog on them: https://nodecisionmanager.co.uk/ He has a second blog making fun of accountants: https://boring accountants.co.uk/ He has also written humorous articles about life in multinationals, anonymously or as Grant Petrie to protect his employment. They were published in various professional magazines such as Management Today, Personnel Journal and Management Accounting. He now lives in France.

For a boss this behaviour should be easy to detect, but if they are unaware of their inherent incompetence, then the incompetent managers will remain undetected.

Agile FP&A

By Kevin Phillips, CEO at IDU

Although the world remains locked in battle with Covid-19, we are starting to emerge from survival mode and to consider our post-pandemic future. This means figuring out what's here to stay from the past 18 months, and what needs to change. One thing is certain, though: we are not going to continue where we left off in 2019 and 2020.
