During the second meeting of the Global AI/ML FP&A Committee, which took place on June 19th, 2018, we began with member introductions, allowing everyone to get acquainted.
Lance Rubin provided updates on the previous meeting, focusing on the committee's goals and principles. We then delved into case studies, starting with Stefan Spiegel, CFO at Swiss Railway Freight Logistics (SBB Cargo AG), who presented how Artificial Intelligence could replace traditional Management Accounting. This was followed by Saurabh Jain, VP of Business Performance Controlling at Siemens Healthcare, who shared lessons from other industries and potential applications of AI to Financial Planning. An open discussion allowed all members to address AI/ML questions.
Finally, Larysa Melnychuk wrapped up the meeting by summarising the key takeaways and outlining the next steps for the committee.
