The 9th Boston FP&A Board gathered on 21 March 2023 at Spaces State Street. Senior finance practitioners have discussed the five crucial FP&A Team Roles this time. Larysa Melnychuk, the founder and CEO of FP&A Trends Group, chaired the discussion and moderated the forum.
The think tank gathered 30 professionals from leading companies, including Amazon, Novartis, Dover, General Electric, Schneider Electric, Moderna, MBTA, LEGO, PTC, Curriculum Associates, Keolis Commuter Services, and many others.
After introducing themselves, the participants deep-dived into the discussion centered around the most critical FP&A Roles, such as Architect, Data Scientist, Analyst, Storyteller, and Influencer. The attendees also talked about the most crucial skills for building world-class FP&A teams. Later the participants discussed the importance of two emerging roles - FP&A Connector and FP&A Interpreter.

Joel Chrisco, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis - Programs at the International Rescue Committee, shared an excellent presentation on his organization's case study: Leading FP&A in a volatile and rapidly changing industry.
