Dear colleagues,
Gary Hamel, professor and business thinker, is quoted as saying: “The problem with the future is that it is different. If you are unable to think differently, the future will always arrive as a surprise.”
It is fair to say that these have been surprising few years indeed. FP&A professionals have been facing huge challenges and undergoing equally huge transformations, as they attempt to grapple with the ‘Next Normal’.
So what exactly can we expect to see in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the coming years?
This digest aims to provide some answers to that question. It is devoted to the top trends shaping FP&A in 2022 and beyond. Below, you will find an eBook and a short video presentation identifying the key factors changing FP&A today, along with three articles delving deeper into them.
These trends represent some of the different ways of thinking that Gary Hamel described. I hope that, after this digest, they won’t take you so much by surprise!
