The Global AI/ML FP&A Committee was established on the 29th of March, 2018. The mission of the Committee is to guide the development, application and promotion of better practices for using AI/ML and other related data science techniques within Finance / FP&A.
The 1st meeting of the Committee took place with a focus on introducing committee members and discussing the mission and rules. The meeting began with a warm welcome, followed by individual introductions of Committee members.
During the meeting, several presentations were given, including Irina Steenbeek's research study on AI/ML in FP&A, Igor Panivko's vision for AI/ML in finance, Stefan Spiegel's quick overview of the AI project in SBB Cargo, and Matthijs Schot's overview of the ML driver-based planning project in the Maersk Group.
The meeting was concluded by discussing key takeaways and outlining the next steps for the Committee.
