Med has held several roles in the last 15 years in Financial Services, Insurance, Investments and Government.
He is currently responsible for Financial Analysis and Accountability, Financial Policy and Standards, PSAS Consolidation and Budget Planning for the Education Sector within the Government of Ontario, where he leads a few departments of finance professionals managing over $25 billion annually in total budget and transfer payments.
His responsibilities include Financial Risk Management, financial reporting standards, financial planning and analysis, audits, controllership and business reporting, including management of $14 million financial reporting and payment system for the education sector.
Prior to joining the Government Med has held several roles in Financial Services with responsibilities in project management, managing national operations and overseeing regulatory compliance.
Mad is appointed by Lieutenant Governor and Cabinet Ministers as a board member of the Provincial School Authorities.
Med holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ryerson University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management.
He is certified in Project Management by the Project Management Institute and is currently completing the Senior Executive Advanced Finance and Accounting Program through CPA Canada.
Also, he is certified in Senior Executives Advanced Finance and Accounting Program at CPA Canada and in Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
