"High Uncertainty" was the other name for the year 2020 and FP&A's have been going through massive challenges and transformations to adjust to the "New Normal".

What are the top 10 Financial Planning and Analysis trends to watch in 2021 and beyond?

We would like to invite you to learn from our international panel of experts.

The Digital North American FP&A Board will be held online on 26 January 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM PST. If the timing is not right, you can listen to the recording later as it will be available to all registrants afterwards.

What is International FP&A Board?

The International FP&A Board was created in London (UK) in 2013 to guide the development and promotion of the best practices in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Since then, the Board chapters have been successfully established in 27 cities and 16 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and North America. They aim to identify and support new global trends, valued skill sets and leadership practices in modern corporate Financial Planning & Analysis. 

Digital North American FP&A Board will unite our chapters from Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, Toronto, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, New York. We are also looking forward to inviting guests from other parts of North America where FP&A Board is not geographically established yet.

Larysa Melnychuk

Larysa Melnychuk is a passionate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional and influencer who has held senior FP&A roles at leading organisations before setting up the International FP&A Board in 2013. The Board is a global and well-recognised professional think-tank that aims to bring together the knowledge and experience of senior FP&A professionals and aid the development of best practice in the profession.

In the last three years, she successfully expanded the Board into 27 chapters in 16 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and North America.

Larysa is also the founder and CEO at the FP&A Trends Group (fpa-trends.com), the leading online resource for FP&A professionals. She chairs the Global AI FP&A Committee and runs a number of high-profile initiatives in the area of modern financial analytics.

Larysa holds a Master of Science degree in physics of materials and is a qualified chartered management accountant (CIMA), chartered global management accountant (CGMA) and is a holder of an FP&A certification. She is also a member of the exam content writing team for the Association of Finance Professionals (AFP) FP&A certification.

Larysa is also a passionate conference speaker and writes articles on various FP&A-related subjects.

Pras Chatterjee

Pras Chatterjee is a Senior Director of Product Marketing for Planning & Analysis at SAP focusing on SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BPC. Prior to joining Product Marketing, Pras was a Practice Manager for SAP Business Analytics Services in North America as a leader in the SAP EPM practice. He has also served as a Solution Architect for SAP focusing on Planning and Consolidations around the globe. Pras is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has worked with various software firms in the Finance space as well has had a career in Finance with various Fortune 500 organizations.

Tom Hood

Tom Hood, CPA, CITP, CGMA is currently the CEO of the Business Learning Institute and the Maryland Association of CPAs (US). He was just named the second most influential person in accounting by Accounting Today Magazine for the ninth year! He is also one of LinkedIn's Top 100 Influencers with a following of over 750,000.

He leads the Business Learning Institute to create learning strategies and curriculums for finance and accounting to upskill and reskill their teams. As a former CFO, he is passionate about helping Management Accountants and Finance Professionals be even more future ready for these exponential times.

Christopher Saxe

Chris is Chief Financial Officer of SecZetta, a fast-growing provider of third-party identity risk solutions. He has 15 years of finance leadership experience in the software and telecommunications industries, for both privately held and publicly listed companies including Akamai Technologies and British Telecom.

Chris received his Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York – Purchase College and his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is also a certified project manager and speaks German, Dutch, and Spanish.

Alex Beired

Alex Beired was born in Barcelona.

He received BA in Business Administration and MBA by ESADE (Barcelona) and MBA in International Management by Thunderbird (Arizona).

Alex brings 27 years of experience at Guardian.

He started at the Carleton glass plant as assistant controller. After one year, he moved to the Llodio glass plant in Spain, where Alex was controller of Fab operations while leading the implementation of Activity Based Costing and S&P across all EU plants.

5 years later, he moved to Guardian Automotive Trim division (today’s SRG Global) where he performed roles in Finance, Value Estimating (aka Quoting) and Business Development (acquisition of the Ibi Plater and expansions into Poland and Mexico), first in Valencia (7 years) and later in the US SRG Global’s headquarters (9 years).

Back to the Glass division since 2016 at the Auburn Hills office, first as FPA director and recently as Pricing Strategy director.

Marc De Haas

Marc is currently the finance director for Cargill’s global Cocoa & Chocolate business. He joined Cargill in 1995 starting as a financial management trainee in Amsterdam (NL). After his traineeship, he joined the strategy and business development group in Minneapolis (USA) and worked on several regional and global strategy and M&A projects. After working in Minneapolis Marc held senior finance and leadership positions in Ukraine, Switzerland, Singapore and Belgium. In 2016 he returned back to the Netherlands to join the newly formed global Cocoa and Chocolate business. Marc has an economics degree from the VU University in Amsterdam and has extensive experience in holistically managing, building and right-sizing businesses.
