FP&A Trends Editorial Guidelines
FP&A Trends welcomes original contributions from finance practitioners, executives and organisations.
Our audience includes CFOs, finance directors, heads of FP&A, controllers and other senior finance professionals. Articles should therefore be practical, relevant and clearly connected to financial planning and analysis.
Content Requirements
Articles should:
- focus on an FP&A-related topic;
- provide practical insights, original analysis, evidence or a relevant case study;
- be between 800 and 1,200 words;
- include a clear introduction, structured main section and concise conclusion;
- be written in British English;
- be original and not previously published;
- avoid promotional or advertorial language.
References to the author’s company, products or services should be included only when essential to the case study or practical example.
Use of AI
AI tools may be used to support research, drafting or language improvement. However, AI-generated content must not exceed 30% of the article.
The article must primarily reflect the author’s own experience, analysis, thinking and professional voice. Authors remain responsible for the originality and accuracy of all facts, statistics, quotations and sources.
Visuals and Submission Format
Authors may submit up to three charts, tables, diagrams or images. All visuals must be of high quality, include the original source and be cleared for publication.
Articles should be submitted in an editable Word document together with:
- the author’s name, title and company;
- a short professional biography;
- a professional photograph;
- a LinkedIn profile link;
- relevant sources and references.
Editorial Process
Submission does not guarantee publication.
FP&A Trends may edit articles for structure, clarity, style, length, accuracy and legal compliance. Material changes will be shared with the author, and the final version will be published only after the author’s approval.
Publication timing depends on editorial availability and will be agreed with the author.
Authorship and Publication Rights
The author retains authorship.
By agreeing to publication, the author grants FP&A Trends the right to edit, publish, promote, translate and archive the content across its channels and resources.
Any subsequent use of the article must identify FP&A Trends as the original publisher and include a direct link to the original article on the FP&A Trends website.
Promotion
Accepted articles are promoted, at FP&A Trends’ editorial discretion, through the FP&A Trends website, newsletters, LinkedIn channels and the global finance community.
There is no publication fee.
