FP&A Trends Digest: Issue #146
Issue #146 - 16 August 2025 |
| Dear colleagues, What does a “long-term plan” mean when 61% of companies can predict only six months ahead? The 2025 FP&A Trends Survey also shows just 10% of organisations look beyond a year, and 19% can’t run scenarios at all. We have better tools than ever — yet much of forecasting is still built on assumptions that outlive their relevance. Following the series of digests exploring the pillars of best-in-class FP&A, we focus this time on scenario-ready forecasting: building the muscle to prepare for several futures at once and to discard the wrong ones without hesitation. In this issue, you will find research on the frameworks that make agility repeatable, real-world lessons from finance leaders embedding scenario thinking, and practical techniques to keep forecasts relevant in volatile conditions. Best regards, Larysa Melnychuk, CEO and Founder FP&A Trends Group & International FP&A Board |
