Monte Swain
Professor Monte Swain is the Deloitte Professor at the BYU School of Accountancy. Professor Swain has researched and taught management accounting at Brigham Young University since 1991. He has been published in a number of scholarly and practitioner journals. In addition, he is an author of cases and textbooks in management accounting and writes and consults on the effective use of strategic measurement systems in organisations. In 2016, the Institute of Management Accountants recognised him with the IMA Brummet Distinguished Award for Management Accounting Educators. In 2021, BYU awarded him the MBA Core Professor of the Year. Professor Swain is the senior author of the UWorld CMA exam preparation system and a founding director of the Profitability Analytics Center of Excellence (PACE).
